After graduation in 1969 I continued with our family business in Washington, PA called the Spriggs House of Music, continuing to play in nightclubs with various bands. Fall of 1969 I enrolled in Washington Institute of Technology to enhance my understanding of electronics cutting back to part time with our family business involved exclusively with electronic repairs (PA systems, amps, etc.) + instrument repairs (band instruments, stringed instruments, etc.) & kept the pianos tuned in our store until graduating from the Institute. Our family business closed in the Spring of 1986 and I started employment in the Fall of 1986 with Simmons Business Systems. I started off with the repair of IBM typewriters, fax machines, IBM computers + Lexmark & HP printers. In 1996 I attended Computer Tech in Pittsburgh in the nights and decided to take a break from playing in clubs until I graduated. At this point I integrated into the network division working mostly with software based solutions for networks and covered a 200 mile radius with Pittsburgh as the center. When Ron Simmons sold his business in 2006, I joined Toshiba Business Solutions of Western PA [TBS WPA] that I have now been a part of for 4 years on 11-1-09. I represent and setup all their software solutions for networks + connect digital copiers & continue to repair HP printers which is a part of Toshiba’s Print Management Program. I use to cover a 100 mile radius with Pittsburgh as the center, but now as of December 2009 I solely do all their remote support from our office which moved from Monroeville to the Cardello Building in the West end of Pittsburgh. At this location, our TBSWPA office combined with COPI which the headquarters for all the Toshiba branches along the Eastern Coast. I had been accompanist for 10 years at Library Baptist Church and now have been accompanist for 13 years at Peters Creek Baptist Church.

My wife Janet has a Master Degree in Special Education, but only taught 2 years and stopped because of complications following her hip replacement. Her hopes are to someday do consulting and/or testing in the area of her degree. She is caretaker of her brother Scott who has lived with us for 23 years and has special needs.

My son has an Associate Degree in graphics and Bachelor Degree in Business and is presently employed by Bank of America (formerly Merrill Lynch) REO Real Estate (Real Estate Owned) reconciling properties owned by the bank.
